Hi!
My drive belt is squeaking awfully, specially on low gear (1st or 2nd).
I have tried a high precision belt allignment so that the friction between the belt itself and the sidewall of the pulleys is kept to a minimum.
I hope that the tension is also ajusted correctly, there is a slight freeplay and the belt is certainly not too tight.
But still, I get this annoying sound, does anybody know of any tricks solving this problem? (... would it help to replace the belt by a chain, for instance ? :-)
Any help is strongly appreciated.
